Day 6: How to Practice Accurate Self-Description

RAMADAN

Write three honest statements about yourself. Not aspirational — not who you are working toward. Not self-critical — not your failures catalogued. Accurate. What is currently, verifiably true.

This is harder than it sounds. The tendency, even when no one is reading, is toward performance. The aspirational version feels better to write. The self-critical version feels appropriately humble. The accurate version tends to feel flat and slightly uncomfortable.

That flatness is the signal you are doing it correctly.

Accurate self-knowledge produces practical consequences. The person who knows clearly what they are capable of under pressure makes better decisions under pressure than the person who knows only who they aspire to be. The person who has an accurate read on their patterns can account for them. The person with only an ideal version of themselves cannot.

Three statements. No elevation, no punishment. Just what is true right now.
